Independent Music Israel | Digital Music Marketing | Distribution

Kame'a - Independent Music Group
General Introduction
We believe that one central body that promotes the interests of a number of independent music labels (and is committed to promoting independent music only - without the desire or attempt to work with any of the major labels), basing its work on business tools - will be able to successfully compete with the major labels and ensure revenues from the different aspects of the music market, such as:
Physical sales
Digital Marketing
Public Performance / Broadcast
Synchronization
Licensing
This type of framework, combining business tools and professional repertoire management will significantly promote the interests of independent labels and artists.
Our Goal
To create a business framework that will promote the interests of independent music labels in Israel in all the relevant commercial aspects - Physical Distribution; Digital Marketing; Public Performance and Broadcast; Synchronization; Public Relations.
Main Aspects of the Company's Activities
Physical Distribution
In order to benefit the most from the physical distribution it will be carried out by three different elements:
- Distribution by a major Israeli distributor that has access to all big chains of stores.
- Direct distribution from the company to independent stores.
- Direct sale via the company website to private customers.
We believe that in order to be competitive and seize hold of significant shelf space we must be competitive also in terms of the final consumer price - based on the standards of the Israeli music market - and not demand a price considerably more expensive (as has so far been done, regarding the international independent catalogs distributed in Israel).
Digital Marketing
Providing a solution to purchasing digital content legally is one of our first goals - in order to deal, even if partially, with content-sharing sites and illegal downloads. So far, the main MP3 stores (Amazon, iTunes) are blocked for access from Israel and this field does not have any solution for the international repertoire.
Similarly, the content will be uploaded to the networks of the Israeli Mobile vendors - even though this market share is controlled mainly by the local repertoire, hip-hop and pop music.
Master Rights (Neighboring Rights), Public Performance & Broadcast Royalties
Collecting from PP/Broadcast is one of our main services to our int'l partners and main source for royalties in the current market.
Kame'a is a full & active member in IFPI Israel – actually, the only member associated with the int'l independent labels and not representing the interests of the majors at all.
In the last few years, we've opened the door for int'l independent labels to registration in IFPI Israel in order to collect from Public Performance and Broadcast (Master-rights royalties). We are work to promote the interests of the independent labels through the collection and enforcement against the relevant broadcasting stations, clubs etc.
We encourage every musician, labels and group to register the repertoire - even If the territory is quite small - otherwise, the royalties will be divided between other IFPI members.

Synchronization
The Company shall establish a musical database organized by musical genre, style, subject, etc. and will offer it to advertising and production companies in order to integrate our music in advertisements, movies, TV series etc. - as an additional way of increasing revenue and promoting the content.
Public Relations
In order to professionally promote music and artists, based on both our market and repertoire expertise, we will use In-House PR crew that will promote new releases (singles and albums).
Due to our deep acquaintance with the local market and the promoted catalog, a special emphasis will be given - on national radio and newspapers - to promoting singles and artists that have the potential to break out in the local market.
Simultaneously, work will be carried out - in accordance to our marketing plan - with niche radio programs, websites, blogs, social networks and the music press. In addition, the company's Web site will be used as a magazine that will update new releases and stream new materials.
